So my parents haven’t really been supportive of drag at all, in fact, my mom told me that if I continued doing it, she would stop financially supporting me.

But, tonight at dinner, I ended up talking about how awesome Silence of the Trans was (she knew I went already, but she didn’t know I went in drag). She asked me if I dressed up & I ended up showing her all my pictures of drag stuff that I’ve been doing. She told me how much I’ve grown since Sexhibition (a hell of a lot), & if that I can apply it to my career in fashion, then it’d be smart, but ultimately she doesn’t want drag to be my sole profession. And I mean, who JUST does drag, like seriously you can’t really call it a full-time career.

But yeah, networking & using my experience in drag is something that I really wanted to use towards my career, & basically I feel like I have my mother’s approval now & I’m SO excited.

My dad will probably never fully support Roxanne, but I know he’s still proud & supportive of me in every other aspect, so yeah.

But STILL OMG. Kinda having my parents’ approval on this just makes me so fucking happy.
